Winnipeg Croatia vs. Pan Am FC

Opening game of the season for Winnipeg Croatia. Cloudy Wednesday afternoon at the Weston CC. Few fans in attendance. Croatia started pressuring right from the begining and had a few shots at the goal but couldn't score. Pan Am scores first after a break through. Few minutes after a long cross from Zlatko is well received by Bobo, who after running with the ball and tricking it's defender puts the ball pass the goalie in the net. GOAL!! Croatia scores!! For about 10 minutes most of the game was being played in the middle, with one highlite, pass from Matko to Dino whose shot was saved by the goalie. Few minutes after Ivan B takes an amazing shot from well behind 25m and finds the net. What a goal. Few chances on both sides, worth mentioning is the chance Croatia had but the ball just wouldn't go in after hitting the post. First half ended with Croatia up 2:1.

Croatia starts the second half with some changes. Pan Am opens up the right side and after a mistake from Croatian defender they score to tie the game at 2:2.  Now the game moved to the middle again. Zlatko is fauled after going around two Pan Am defenders. Faul was about 25m away from the goal to the left. Zlatko takes a free kick and scores. GOAL!! Croatia is up 3:2!! Croatia is defending, you can notice that players are tired. Pan Am moved the game to Croatia's half. After putting on the pressure they were able to score a goal after a corner kick to tie the game at 3:3, just 3 minutes before the referee blew the whistle to end the game.

Overall, a good first game for Croatia. Worth mentioning are the two saves from Ivi in the first half of the game, and impressive defense by Ivan M, Marko and Matt.
