First game on the new turf at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex for Winnipeg Croatia. It was nice to see Marko M back in the lineup and Mario R in goal. Croatia started the game strong which resulted in Haris R scoring in the third minute of play for a 1:0 lead. Croatia playing good with a lot of chances but they just can't score. Finally Derrick K puts one in the net for a 2:0 lead. Last minute of the first half Colo Colo managed to get one back from a penalty. Culprits, to name the few, Marko M who loses the ball as a last man while dribbling and Eugene S who takes down Colo Colo striker. Half time 2:1 for Croatia.

During the scond half it started to drizzle a bit, making the new turf slippery. That didn't stop Branko D from scoring an amazing goal from far, far away. He had the ball on the right side of the field just pass the half court and noticed the goalie away from the goal line, took an amazing shot, lobbed the goalie and scored for 3:1. Too bad this one wasn't recorded. It reminded me of good old Davor Suker days. For the rest the game was played on one side, any balls that crossed the middle were nicely cleaned by Ivan M, Marko M and Peter playing in defense. Many scoring opportunities resulted in some amazing misses (Haris R and Vlado B come to mind). Derrick managed to score his 9th goal of the season for the final score of 4:1. Despite many missed chances good game for Croatia. With this win Croatia claims the 2nd spot in the standings.

Another cloudy, rainy day in Winnipeg. Few players from starting lineup are still missing, resulting in shuffled defense and mid. No goalie again, so Ivan M played keeper.

Mutiny FC with pressure and good possesion in the begining. After 20 minutes Croatia finally started playing soccer. In 25th minute Zlatko O takes a shot with his left from top of the box and finds the net. Croatia leads 1:0. In 40th minute ball is passed a few times between defensive players and finally kicked out, but pourly and Mutiny gets the ball in the middle, fast pass and they score to tie the game at 1:1.

Second half Crotia looks more organized but can't get the ball in the net.  The middle was left too open and Mutiny players almost used it to score and take the lead. Few nice plays to find Haris R wide open but the ref sees offisdes that noone else sees. In 75th minute Zlatko O wins a ball in the middle, passes it to Derrick K who crosses it and finds Haris R for a nice header and another goal. Croatia is up 2:1. Even though Croatia closed it's half Mutiny had a few corners and one almost resulted in a goal. Croatia manages to bring the game to an end for the second win of the season.
